Cooks: ‘Fresh Kitchen’ is ‘the new ‘Pork Slice’ in NYC’s restaurants
Bloomberg NEWS – 3 minutes ago New York City has been hit hard by a spike in cases of coronavirus in recent weeks, with more than 4,000 cases reported, and the city is still reeling from the worst pandemic since the pandemic of 1918.
But in many parts of the country, including New York, the spread of coronas has been slow to reach their full potential.
While many restaurants and grocery stores in the city are already serving food to customers who were previously sick, some have been forced to move away from serving the typical “traditional” American fare, as it is now known.
Restaurants have been asked to serve more and more of fresh vegetables, such as parsley, as they cannot find the supplies they need, and to limit portions of chicken and meat.
In many areas, there are now a wide range of restaurants that offer fresh food, and some are even selling salads.
New York-based chef and co-owner of New York’s new burger chain, Fresh Kitchen, says he is thrilled to be serving fresh vegetables at the new locations.
He says the “fresh” in “fresh food” is important in New York because it is a term that does not have a specific meaning.
Fresh Kitchen is trying to appeal to customers from all walks of life and demographics by offering the freshest and most healthy ingredients.
It is opening restaurants in the New York boroughs of Brooklyn and Staten Island, and in Manhattan, Queens and Staten.
The chain plans to open locations in at least six cities next year, including Seattle, Chicago, Los Angeles and Las Vegas.
