Walmart is launching its first low-wage food service location in Texas, the first in the United States, according to an announcement on the company’s website.
The Walmart Texas location is slated to open on March 10th and will offer $5 meals per day.
The store is expected to have about 50 employees and will be staffed by at least 70 people.

The company has opened stores in several states in recent years including California, California, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Arizona.
According to Walmart, the new store will open in the Houston area.
It will be one of the largest Walmart low-price grocery stores in the U.S., according to the company.
